Originally from Chicago, Dr. Joe graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2002. He fell in love with Colorado when he moved to Denver for a residency program following graduation. After working as a dentist in Denver for a few years, Joe decided to pursue his goal of becoming a pediatric specialist and completed 2 years of additional training doing a pediatric residency at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis and earning an MS degree in 2007. Dr. Joe’s love for children is expressed in his practice as he provides a playful and positive experience. Dr. Joe has two young daughters of his own – Olivia and Luciana. He also enjoys outdoor adventures such as skiing, mountain biking or cruising into Old Town with his wife Eleesha and their girls in tow. Dr. Shivaun feels she has the best job in the world! She loves getting to work with kids and helping their families take care of their dental needs. Dr. Shivaun is a general dentist who graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1999. After dental school she completed an Advance Education in General Dentistry Residency at UMKC to further her education. Shivaun and her husband, Steve, took one trip out to Fort Collins in 2000 and fell in love with the town and all it had to offer. After practicing general dentistry for 15 years, Dr. Shivaun had found that her true passion is treating children. She and her husband have three wonderful children, Chase, Chloe, and Drew. In their free time the McArtor family loves to hit the slopes, exercise and watch their kiddos play any sport. Dr. Larsen grew up in a small Colorado mountain town near Pikes Peak. He graduated from Colorado University with a Bachelors in Integrative Physiology in 2009 and then from University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2014. After six years of practicing dentistry with primarily pediatric patients, Dr. Larsen knew his calling was caring for children. He went on to complete the pediatric specialty program at the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, eager to race back to his home state of Colorado to practice Pediatric Dentistry. He and his wife, Meagan, have two high-energy children, Bella and Kai, who have the same birthday exactly two years apart. Watching classic Hollywood films, riding motorcycles, weightlifting, and trying Mexican restaurants with his family are among his many hobbies. Dr. Katie Foster was born and raised in Northern Nevada. She attended California Lutheran University and graduated with distinction receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. While there, she also studied classical violin and was a competitive swimmer. Dr. Foster received her dental degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she realized early on her passion for working with and treating children. Following her dental training, Dr. Foster pursued her pediatric residency at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in association with the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. She obtained extensive knowledge regarding clinical pediatric dentistry, dental emergencies as well as the skills to care for disabled and medically compromised patients. When she’s not at Mountain Kids Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Foster loves nothing more than spending time with her wonderful husband, Josh and two sweet children, Luke (2) and Ella (6m). She also loves to cook (not a great baker though), stay active in the gym, try new restaurants and travel.Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
